IWCF WELL CONTROL COURSE
This programme is designed for people in critical well control positions on drilling installations as well as onshore roles. The candidates will complete an IWCF accredited training course, taught according to IWCF syllabus, in order to prepare them for assessment.
The objective of this training is to increase the candidate’s knowledge and understanding of well control theory, practice and equipment. This will help prepare the candidates to deal with most well control situations.
At the end of the course the candidates will sit an exam to ensure that they can demonstrate their understanding of the equipment, principles and procedures associated with rotary drilling well control. The successful candidate will be issued with a certificate valid for two years.
Note: Candidate/delegates must hold a valid Drilling Level 2 or previous Level 3 certificate to be eligible for this course. If the delegate is new to IWCF training or if the candidate’s previous certificate has lapsed 24 months beyond the expiry date, he/she will be required to achieve a Level 2 certificate before completing Level 3.
