Dalma Training Institute was established in 2010 in order to provide technical trainings for Dalma group personnel. Institute was approved by the Ministry of Manpower in 2011 as a Dalma Vocational Training. The management team and shareholders decided to open doors of the training facility by offering training programs to other drilling contractors in Oman and from outside the country. The Institute was officially approved by the Ministry of Manpower in 2014 to offer drilling technical training programs for all drilling crew and drilling engineers.
The Institute has international accreditation to conduct International Well Control Forum (IWCF) Courses, both at Level-2 and Levels 3-4. The Drilling technical courses have been approved by International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) as Drilling Industry Training (DIT).
The institute takes initiatives by offering technical trainings to existing employees and newly-hired employees through appropriate training programs by class-room and on-the-job (OTJ) coaching on drilling rigs. Dalma Training Institute fosters to nurture and improve In-Country Value (ICV) by offering industry-level trainings to boost Omanisation in Oil and Gas industry.
One of the central reasons for this heavy investment in people development is the importance of nationalizing the workforce. By measuring competence and training to address the gaps, we provide a platform for professional development of nationals in supporting the In-Country Value in Oil and Gas industry.
